Doug Smith Spares pride ourselves on providing A1 customer service, so we always looking for bright and energetic people, who can provide customers with great service on all levels. You must be good at dealing with customers, listening to customers needs and suggest solutions to suit their needs. We never look for pushy salesmen, just enthusiastic customer service staff.
To work in our sales team you do need a technical mind, as the job requires you to be able to understand exploded view parts diagrams, technical bulletins etc. We provide full training on the actual spare parts. Computer literacy is also necessary.
As a member of Dougie’s team, you are required to be a good team player, who is willing to input your thoughts in order to develop better techniques and procedures.
We are a smoke free workplace, and we provide incentives to staff wishing to join approved quit programs. We have a very low staff turnover rate, as most staff enjoy their positions within our organisation and tend to stay a while. We pay well above industry standards, and there is good scope for promotion internally.
